Butterfly Q & A

What eats butterflies?

Butterflies face an uphill battle for survival. Out of every one hundred eggs produced by a female butterfly, approximately only one percent survive to become an adult. And as an adult, the odds don't get much better. Various birds, small mammals, lizards, frogs, toads, spiders and other insects all prey on butterflies.
